We believe life is a journey. It begins when we are conceived and continues past the point of death. At some point along our life’s journey we begin asking questions:
- Why am I on this journey? [purpose]
- Where does this journey take me? [destination]
- How can I make sure the route I am taking is the best? [fulfillment]
We believe that at this point on one’s journey, the search begins for meaning, purpose, significance, and acceptance. This search is spiritual, and at this “crossroads” of sorts, a person is open to a real encounter with a real God.
our goal
Someone once asked, "What do you want people to say about Crossroads in 10 years?" Truthfully, we don't think we want people to say anything about Crossroads the organization in 10 years. But we would love people to say something like, "There's a group of people who live life differently. They seem to have peace and purpose in their own lives, and they treat others as if they're extremely valuable. No matter where they are, they try to make the world better. I'm glad I know them."
our heartbeat
The thing that drives us is our desire to see Christ-followers live the way of Christ no matter where they are. "Church" isn't an event, it's a people. Our heartbeat is to see followers of Christ actually following God's leadership in all areas of their lives -- in their homes, in their neighborhoods, in their careers, in their schools, in their cities, in their states, in their nation, in their world. We hope to equip Christ-followers to exist not in the world's system of destruction and exploitation, but to enjoy living and revealing the Kingdom of God every moment of every day.

Crossroads is intentionally multi-denominational. (Translation: we embrace the fullness of the story of God as expressed in various ways in many Christian denominations.) Brian MacLaren's book, A Generous Orthodoxy, is a good place to start understanding what this means.
Instead of being a part of a single denomination, Crossroads helped start Ecclesia, a relational network of missional churches who share a desire to be a part of a larger association without the trappings of traditional denominations. In Ecclesia, we find deep connections and partnerships without a bunch of hierarchical mumbo-jumbo.
